A comprehensive, adaptable, and practical guide for integrating Circular Economy (CE) principles into school education and daily operations. Co-created with teachers, experts, and students, the toolkit includes:
- Theoretical background on CE in education
- Hands-on activities for classrooms and schools
- Templates and guides for implementing circular actions
- Best practices and case studies from pilot schools
🧑🏫 Teacher Capacity Building
- 56 teachers trained through:
- 2 in-person workshops (Greece & Cyprus)
- 1 online workshop for broader reach
- Educators gained tools and strategies for applying CE in their teaching
- At least 10 teachers involved in the co-creation and piloting of the Toolkit
Student Engagement & Empowerment
- 12 student workshops conducted (6 per school)
- Focus on:
- Understanding CE principles
- Developing teamwork, decision-making, and sustainability actions
- Over 50 students actively participated and acted as Circularity Ambassadors within their school community
♻️ Circular Applications in Schools
Each pilot school implemented at least one real-world circular application, such as:
- Composting systems
- Tool/library sharing initiatives
- Upcycling or reuse stations
- These applications were designed and led by students with teacher guidance.
